Brian Green, consultant for the Senate Democratic Caucus and one of the coordinators of the Chicano Latino Youth Leadership Project, reports the 2019 Fellows class started their legislative office internships last week. This year’s group of 10 college students are alumni of the CLYLP High School programs and have been learning about “the dynamics of California government, the factors influencing policymakers and current and future policy issues facing California.” Each student received a scholarship from the Comcast Foundation for their participation in the one-month program, which allows them to serve as interns in Senate and Assembly offices through July 27.
