'YES' ON AB 1356 (TING)

Americans for Safe Access, the California Hispanic Chambers of Commerce, UDW/AFSCME Local 3930, and the Veterans Cannabis Group have joined to sponsor legislation that would provide better safe access to legal cannabis in California: AB 1356.

With the passage of Proposition 64, Californians expressed strong support for a legal cannabis retail market. Despite this, two-thirds of the state does not allow for a single cannabis retailer due to local bans.

The scarcity of cannabis retailers creates significant hardships to our most vulnerable Californians - veterans, patients, seniors and people with disabilities who choose to use safe, legal, medical cannabis. Medical cannabis provides them with the highest level of care and ensures their quality of life.

AB 1356 will provide Californians access to a functional, legal cannabis market. This bill would help expand licensing for cannabis retailers and create economic opportunities for communities of color devastated by the “War on Drugs.”

Please take a moment to ask your state Assemblymember and Senator to support AB 1356 (Ting) to ensure safe, legal access to cannabis in our state.*
