Asm. Travis Allen and Arielle Bailey, a manufacturing and environmental services executive at Republic Services, a recycling and solid waste collection company, were married Saturday at Hearst Castle. About 150 guests attended the ceremony and reception, including Asm. Matt Dababneh, who posted a photo on Twitter of the couple holding hands as they exchanged vows. Allen’s Capitol Director Stephanie Freedman called it “the wedding in the clouds” from the marine layer that rolled in during the ceremony, blanketing the ridges and valleys below. “The wedding was very, very sweet,” she said. “There’s a lot of love between them.” Freedman says the couple got engaged during a trip to Israel earlier this year after dating for a little over a year.
