California Hospital Assn. and its parent organization, the California Assn. of Hospitals and Health Systems, reports selecting Carmela Coyle as its new President/CEO. Coyle is currently President/CEO of the Maryland Hospital Assn., which she has led since 2008. Before that, Coyle worked for 20 years with the American Hospital Assn., including 11 years as senior vice president of policy. She also worked for the Congressional Budget Office in Washington, DC. Coyle succeeds C. Duane Dauner, who announced his retirement in December.
