Christian Burkin has been appointed chief consultant of the Assembly Committee on Veterans Affairs. Burkin, who started Tuesday, has worked in the office of Asm. Susan Talamantes Eggman since 2012, most recently as communications director. Burkin succeeds John Spangler, who was appointed by Gov.
