Sacramento Bee’s Capitol reporter Jeremy White has announced he is leaving the Bee to work as a freelance writer in Cambodia. White, who covers the Assembly for the Bee, said he’s long wanted to work as a foreign correspondent and figured the time was right to give it a try. He plans to move to Phnom Penh on Jan. 4. White says he has “thoroughly enjoyed wading into the endless intrigue of California politics.” His last day at the Bee is Friday.
