KEEPING UP

09/28/2016

Michael Miiller, chief of staff to Asm. Marc Levine, has announced that he’s retiring at the end of this year. Miiller began his career in 1983 as an accountant/tax auditor with the Employment Development Dept. Later he worked as a legislative liaison for EDD, which led to his moving over to the Legislature in 1993 as a committee consultant for then-Asm. Jackie Speier, who was chair of the Assembly Committee on Consumer Protection, Governmental Efficiency and Economic Development. He has also worked for former Pro Tem Don Perata in both the Assembly and the Senate, and has been with Levine since 2012. Miiller says he’s “exploring a variety of exciting opportunities” for what comes next. He says he’ll continue keeping busy with his band, Remedy 7, as well as with film projects and with volunteering for Francis House, a resource center for the homeless. Contact: Miiller, M_miiller@yahoo.com or 916 204 0485.
