Steven Bliss, director of strategic communications at California Budget and Policy Center, has announced he has a new job with the Public Policy Institute of California starting Dec. 17. Bliss has worked for the Budget and Policy Center since 2011. Before that, he was executive director of Renew Lehigh Valley in Pennsylvania, which “works to promote urban revitalization and regional equity.” He was also a San Francisco-based consultant specializing in housing, welfare, education, workforce development and other policy topics. Bliss will be returning to San Francisco to join PPIC’s communications team in a senior management role.
