Newly-elected Asm. Wendy Carrillo has announced hiring Alicia Isaacs as her chief of staff. Isaacs has been interim chief of staff to Sen. Henry Stern, and before that was deputy director of policy & electricity markets for SolarCity. She was also communications director for former Asm. Henry Perea. Carrillo also reports hiring George Esparza as her district director. Esparza has been with the City of Los Angeles for the past ten years, most recently as special assistant of special projects for Los Angeles City Councilmember Jose Huizar, who represents District 14 which overlaps AD 51, represented by Carrrillo.
