Speaker Anthony Rendon has announced appointing Bill Wong as political director of the Assembly Democrats. Wong’s role “will be to direct the coordinated campaign strategy, messaging and organizing efforts behind re-electing the state Assembly’s fifty-five Democratic members and winning new seats in 2018.” Wong has a 30-year Capitol career. He’s a former chief of staff to Rendon and to then Asm. Judy Chu.
